Dr. Irimaso (MBChB, MSc Psych, MMed Psych) is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 15 years of international experience spanning clinical practice, research, and leadership roles across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. He specialises in mental health program development, emergency response coordination, and global consultancy.

Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council, Irimaso is also deeply involved in forensic psychiatry. His work aligns with Uganda’s evolving mental health legislation, focusing on criminal responsibility assessments, civil rights advocacy for mentally ill offenders, and court liaison services to ensure ethical, evidence-based evaluations.

Currently serving as President of the Uganda Association of Psychiatrists (UAP), he has held previous leadership roles as President-elect, Vice President, and General Secretary, continuously working to shape the future of psychiatry in Uganda.
